During the third quarter of 2022, the top food delivery apps in New Zealand displayed distinct trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a stable download pattern, starting the quarter with approximately 3.4K downloads and peaking at around 3.6K in mid-July. The app's active user base remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 155K and 166K throughout the quarter.

DoorDash - Food Delivery saw a gradual decline in downloads over the quarter. The app began with around 3.5K downloads in late June, dropping to approximately 1.5K by the end of September. Active users, however, showed a consistent increase, rising from 16.7K to nearly 20K by the end of the period.

Menulog - Food Delivery noted an upward trend in downloads, starting at 1.3K and reaching a high of approximately 2.4K in mid-September. Active users also increased steadily, from around 7.5K to over 10K by the end of the quarter.

Delivereasy experienced a decline in downloads, starting at around 1.5K in late June to about 882 by the end of September. Unfortunately, data on active users for this app was not available.

HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery showed a decrease in downloads, from approximately 1.1K at the start of the quarter to about 746 by the end. Despite this, the app maintained a stable active user base, fluctuating between 23K and 26K throughout the quarter.
